Hmm...how to tell him...

After the initial disbelief, I had to figure out how I was going to tell Corwin. Decided I didn't want to sit him down and just blurt it out, so I came up with a plan. Went to the store and bought a little box, two pair of booties (one pink and one blue), and a card.

We had plans that night to have dinner with friends of ours and I knew I couldn't hold on to the news until after dinner. Corwin came home after work and I told him that I had gotten him a present earlier that day. Asked if he wanted it before or after dinner. Any of you that know Corwin, know that he can be a bit of a smartalec sometimes, that night was one of those nights. *sigh* When I finally got him to sit down with me for a minute, I asked again if he wanted his present now or later. He asked me what I would do in his shoes, "I'd want it now, not later!" was my response. "Ok, I'll take it now." he replied. I pull out a gift bag, he of course gives me a perplexed look and proceeds to open the bag. Digging into the bag he finds the box, yet something else to open. (I do this a lot with presents, can't help myself.) He opens the box and sees this card...

after reading it once or twice he opens it with a perplexed look on his face, he opens it...
stares at for a while and even mumbled the words to himself a couple times. "Boy or Girl, Boy or Girl?" then the realization of what I was saying hit him. He turns his head slowly towards me and says "Are you pregnant?" Ta-Da! He gets it! Of course, he then had the typical guy reaction...got a little warm, fanned himself with his shirt, breaths deep a few times and says "Are you really?" "Yep!" I say with a smile, as I pull out the pregnancy tests. He gives me a huge hug, tells me he loves me and of course I get really giddy. Time to go to dinner...

And the results are...

We're PREGNANT!

Completely shocking and unexpected, but amazingly wonderful and glorious all at the same time.

Something strange is going on...

Around the end of September beginning of October, I realized that I wasn't feeling 100%. Easily fatigued and not able to eat the kinds of food that I normally love. Wasn't able to eat chicken or steak which, for anyone that knows me, knows that is very strange indeed.

Corwin was in Spokane seeing his two beautiful daughters, I would have been there but unfortunately couldn't get off work. I realized that I had not been feeling well in the mornings and some afternoons. Took me a few more days to come to the possible realization of what was happening. Then decided to get a couple of home tests...took them on Wednesday, October 13th, 2010...
